Fez Avery is a poet from Michigan.
Fez is the author of CLAYBOY, a 2025 Jack McCarthy Book Prize winner from Write Bloody Publishing.
He is a PhD student at Western Michigan University and holds an MFA from Virginia Tech. He also teaches poetry at Interlochen Arts Camp and is the 2026-2027 Visiting Instructor of Creative Writing at Interlochen Arts Academy.
He spends his free time with horses.
